After some leisurely breakfast at your Lhasa’s hotel, you will be starting your sightseeing tour of Lhasa today. Explore the Jokhang temple, Barkhor Street and Potala Palace.
Jokhang Temple: The Jokhang Temple is considered to be the most spiritual sight in Lhasa and also, it is commonly called by many names including the Qoikang Monastery, Jokang, Jokhang Temple, Jokhang Monastery and Zuglagkang. The temple is situated in Lhasa’s Barkhor Square. As believed by the Tibetans, the Jokhang Temple is a highly sacred and pious spot in Tibet.
Barkhor Street: The Barkhor Street is the oldest, circular and an immensely traditional street in Lhasa. Here, the culture, economy, arts as well as the religion come together and thus, this sight is really a ‘must visit’ for all the tourists present here. Here, you shall witness a good number of Buddhist pilgrims walking along this street in a clockwise manner regularly.
Potala Palace: King Sotsen Gampo established the Potala Palace in the 7th century and it is also commonly renowned as Dalai Lama’s winter palace. However, it was rebuilt during the 17th century by 5th Dalai Lama. The Potala Palace is preserved in such a great manner that it is truly worthy of many visits.

Today, you will be indulging in a drive starting from Lhasa towards Shigatse while passing across Nyangchu Valley, Karo-La Glacier, Gyantse as well as the Yamdrok Lake. Pay a visit to the beautiful Tashilunpo Monastery before heading to Lhatse for night stay.
After quick breakfast, indulge in a drive to reach the Rongbuk Monastery while passing through the Pang-La Pass that is tucked in Mt. Everest’s northern face. During your journey, you shall be experiencing some breath-taking and scenic views of Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Qowowuyag (8201m) and Mt Makalu (8463m).On you arrival, stay overnight at the guest house there. After visiting Rongbuk drive back to Lhatse for a comfortable night stay.
Today, you can enjoy the sunrise view that will be witnessed at the top of the Mount Everest. Then have some breakfast and further, you can continue with your drive to reach Saga while passing through the Peiku Tso Lake (4600m). Stay overnight at Saga in a guesthouse.
Have some breakfast and then now it’s the time for you to indulge in a drive for reaching Lake Manasarovar. Today is surely going to be a highly memorable day since, the pilgrims will be getting the first look of the mostly revered Mount Kailash as well as the Lake Manasarovar. Arrive there, complete all the check-in formalities at your guesthouse. Once done, you can visit the Lake Manasarovar during evening and witness its beauty. Also, they can be a part of the holy rituals performed there or take a holy bath in its pristine water. On its completion, return back to your hotel and afterwards have dinner and stay overnight.
Visit Lake Mansarovar for Pooja, Meditation and holy bath today. Enjoy your personal time here while chanting, praying and getting more connnected spiritually with your inner self. Later continue to Darchen by drive. Stay will be in hotel at Darchen.
Today, you are going to wake up early morning, have breakfast and then head towards Tarboche. Each and every pilgrim who is a participant in the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is going to have an opportunity to pass through the pious Yam Dwar much before they are going to start their trek. And those, who are not going to be a part of this Parikrama, shall have a view of the Mount Kailash and then return back to Yam Dwar. They will wait for other group members who will be indulged in Parikrama and till then stay in the guesthouse for two days while waiting for their arrival. In case, the participants of Parikrama need a Horse/Yak, then this can be facilitated with the help of your Tibetan guide and that too on direct payment basis. Mentioning the other logistics, they will be carried by other Yaks and Yak men. Also, it is highly recommended for the Yatris to carry hot drinkable water as well as some packed lunch to be used during the journey. Today, the pilgrims are going to experience a flat trek and also some gradual ascend leading to the conclusion of your trek to Dirapuk in approximately 5-6 hours. A midway halt shall be facilitated for the Yatris so that they can eat their packed lunch. Since the weather at Dirapuk is way too chilly as a result of which, your Tibetan guide will be ready with an already booked guesthouse where you can check in and then stay overnight there. From Dirapuk, the Yatris will be witnessing the close North Face of the most revered Mount Kailash.
Today’s start is surely going to be very lovely for the pilgrims as they are going to witness the Golden view of the Mount Kailash due to the first sunlight that is experienced before dawn. Have some breakfast and then indulge in an adventurous trek to reach Zuthulphuk. Since, this trek goes steep at first, where you shall have to climb up continually up to Dolma-La high pass (5630m) for about 3-4 hours and then come down towards Gauri Kund for about 2.5 hours and then, further walk on a flat land for approximately 2-3 hours, it is considered to be the longest as well as the toughest trek of Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. On reaching the Dolma La, the Yatris are going to witness the Shivasthal which is a highly favoured place comprising of some flags and other objects like ornaments, clothes and some belongings since it is believed that whatever you will be offering here shall be attained by you in heaven after your death. It is very beautiful and surely the Yatris are going to be in love with the serenity lying there. It is recommended for the travellers to carry their packed lunch as well as hot drinkable water along with them. Once you cross Dolma La, you shall then spot Gauri Kund at the downhill on your path’s right hand side. We will be taking a mid-way halt for some lunch and then continue moving downhill. The group must walk carefully since there would be many loose stones present on the way. While coming down, those Yatris who are travelling on a Yak/horse would also have to walk for 2-3 hours while coming down after Dolma La. On reaching Zuthulphuk, the Yatris are going to stay overnight in a guesthouse/lodge/tent in a dormitory style.
Today is the last day of your trekking and it is going to conclude with a short trek of about 3-4 hours and thus, the Yatris can wake up today at a normal time in the morning and then start trekking to descend Darchen town. We will be facilitating you with a vehicle that shall pick you up to drop you at Darchen’s guesthouse where your other group mates shall be waiting for you. Have some lunch at your guesthouse and then indulge in a drive towards Paryang or Dongba with an intention of completing the remaining course of the circumambulation of Lake Manasarovar (approximately 30%). Overnight stay at your guesthouse.
After some tasty breakfast, you will be headed towards Shigatse through a drive. On reaching there, stay overnight at Hotel Nyalam or similar guest house in Shigatse.
On the completion of some breakfast, you will be driven towards Shigatse and on reaching there; you will be having dinner and overnight stay at a pre-booked hotel in Lhasa.
Today, after the completion of your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for boarding your flight back to home.
